Heer Panzer Beret, Early Style This is a very early style (pre
1935) black panzer beret. Before
October of 1935 beret’s only utilized a wreath and cockade, no eagle.
Typical two piece beret with a wool cloth cover and a padded crash helmet
base. The wool cover has a very
interesting wreath that appears to be embroidered directly on to the cover
(not separately applied). Both
the helmet and the cloth cover are in very good to excellent condition with
the sweatband and interior just showing some age. Helmet is maker marked to Robert Lubstein
“Erel”. |

Heer Panzer Beret Two-piece black wool beret for
use with the panzer wrap uniform.
Removable soft wool top cover with a lappet at top center and machine
woven wreath and national emblem, both in white, hand sewn to the front. Cover is attached to a thickly padded
crash helmet with four vents that still have removable plugs. Sweatband is intact, oilcloth top is
stiff from age, but no damage or cracks.
Helmet is maker marked to “Carl Halfar”. Excellent condition. |

field cap for an officer in the Heer Panzer Korps. This is an extremely rare cap, made
specifically for an officer, not an enlisted upgrade. High quality wool with aluminum piping
across the crown and bullion hand-applied eagle and cockade, with front panel
affixed by two silver pebbled buttons.
Exterior wool is flawless. Interior is lined in soft brown cotton and
maker marked. Size is stamped
“57”. There is
extensive soiling throughout the interior and the leather forehead has some

ear/neck flaps attached by two painted pebbled buttons at front. Insignia consists of separate woven
eagle and cockade, both machine applied with tip of
eagle sewn across top of cockade.
Eagle was applied before cap was sewn together as the stitching line
for attachment of the top goes across the eagle wing tips. Lining is
blue-grey rayon and has black stamps with RBNr,
date of “1944” and size “56”. Wear, sweat soiling and holes to the
inside lining, some abrasions to top of the cap. Nice example showing field wear. |

Luftwaffe Hermann Goring Division Visored Bergmutze Field
Cap Blue-gray M43 visored Bergmutze
style field cap, piped in white for members of the Hermann Goring units. Insignia consists of machine
embroidered cap eagle and cockade, both over a light gray backing. Bergmutze style, single button front,
with a blue-gray pebbled button.
Interior is gray cotton twill, size marked to 57. Cap is in near perfect condition with
just very light soiling to the interior forehead area. While piping field caps was
non-regulation, it was not uncommon in the HG division, as noted in
Angolia’s “Uniforms and Traditions of the Luftwaffe”. This
cap is also featured on pages 206-207 in the new book “Exotische”, which explores exotic and high ranking
headgear from many advanced collections. |

Polizei Visored Field Cap Summer weight or tropical use
visored field cap for use by Polizei personnel. Cap is made of a light mottled
light-green and tan cotton fabric, very similar in color and texture to that
of the backing used for Luft breast eagles on the FJ jump smock (see last
image in listing for close-up of fabric). The cap has faded heavily on the top
and has more coloration on the visor underside, though it is obviously still
a very light color. Interior is lined in a very light-grey cotton with some
heavy sweat stains to the forehead area. Insignia consists of a one-piece
Police eagle/cockade, flipped upside down and sewn across the top, then
flipped back over and finished along the sides and bottom. |
