Allgemeine-SS Fuss-Standarte 87 “Innsbruck ” Collar Tab

This beautifully hand-embroidered collar tab features an Edelweiss at its center, rendered in silver-aluminum with black accent threads, over a black cloth backing with silver-aluminum twist piping around the edge. White paper RZM tag on the reverse. The Innsbruck Fuss Standarte was one of two Allegemeine Standarte’s that were permitted to wear a design other than the Standarte number on the right side tab.

Hand-embroidered, right side collar tab features the numeral “89” at its center, rendered in silver-aluminum thread over a black cloth backing with silver-aluminum twist piping around the edge. White paper RZM tag on the reverse.

Waffen-SS NCO Runic Tab

Right side collar tab for an NCO, featuring hand-embroidered runes in silver-aluminum thread on a black backing and un-piped. The tab has been removed from a uniform tunic and shows damage from the removal, as well as stitching holes from attachment to the collar.  This tab has quite a bit of wear and soiling, giving it a lot of character, likely removed from a combat uniform.  There are traces of residue on the reverse from being glued into a photo album.

SS Sturmbannführer Collar Tabs

Nice, matching pair of tabs from the same manufacturer, both have black cloth backing over a buckram stiffener with triple-strand aluminum twist cord piping and hand-stenciled numerals on the reverse buckram.  Runic tab with hand-embroidered silver-aluminum wire runics, rank tab with four symmetrically attached aluminum rank pips.

SS Officer Cap Insignia

Stamped metal with silver frosted finish, reverse of right wing marked “RZM”, reverse of left wing marked “M1/72” indicating manufacture by Fritz Zimmermann. Flat attachment pins with beveled ends. Nice condition with some of the frosted finish worn off at the high points.

SS “OberbayernCufftitle

Black cloth band with top and bottom edges of 7-strand aluminum borders, at the center on the obverse side is a hand-embroidered death’s head as introduced for the Oberbaryen regiment in 1938.  The cufftitle has been removed from a tunic and was cut as seen in the frayed edges.  On the inside of the cuff there is an overlap where the edges were originally joined and sewn to the tunic sleeve.  Under the overlap is an “F” quality RZM tag.

SS Reiterstandarte Cufftitle

Early cufftitle issued to members on the staff of the Munich riding school prior to 1939 when the unit was transferred to the SS-Totenkopfverbande.  Standard black woven cuffband bordered with yellow stripes as the top and bottom edges.  The white numeral “2” refers to the Reitersturm number 2.

Waffen SS “Nederland” Officer Collar Tab

Mint example of an officers divisional collar insignia for the 23rd SS-Freiwilligen Panzer Grenadier Division “Nederland”, which was formed from Dutch volunteers.  The tab features the wolfsangle or “wolfs hook” design executed in finely hand-embroidered silver aluminum wire over a black backing and edge piped in silver aluminum twist piping.

SS Officer Sleeve Eagle

Early pattern SS officer sleeve eagle hand-embroidered in aluminum bullion with black thread highlights.  This eagle has the long, thin wings and non-separate head associated with many of the earlier produced examples and is in excellent condition.  Stitching holes are present, so the eagle has been removed from a uniform and there is no paper backing or RZM tag on the reverse.

SS Officer Sleeve Eagle – MINT!!

An absolutely mint condition SS officer sleeve eagle in the original rice paper envelope as found in a tailor shop.  This eagle is part of a recent tailor shop horde of high ranks and officer insignia.  Everything found was perfectly preserved in these glassine envelopes and look as new as the day they were embroidered.  You will not find another piece more perfect than this one. Comes with the paper envelope and protective paper cover for over the embroidery.  No RZM tag (some had tags, some did not).

Single rank collar tab for the Waffen SS rank of Obersturmfuhrer.  Three small, gray metal rank pips attached to soft black badge cloth with a single strip of silver woven borte and edge piped in aluminum twist cord.  Some slight damage to the wool near the upper right pip.

SS Unterscharfuhrer Rank Collar Tab

Single rank collar tab for the Allgemeine SS rank of Unterscharfuhrer, used during the period between 24 October 1934 and 1940. Single gray metal pip centered in soft black badge cloth. The tab has the black and aluminum twisted edge piping cord and is in excellent condition.  Reverse of tab has a “B” RZM tag attached.

SS / SD Sleeve Eagle

Sleeve insignia for members of the Gestapo or Stapostelle and had transferred to the SD (Sicherheitsdienst).  Insignia is hand embroidered in aluminum thread over a black wool backing and edge piped in aluminum twist cord.  Very rare.

SS Totenkopf Collar Tab

Single, enlisted ranks collar tab for the 3rd SS Panzer-Division “Totenkopf” (also worn by concentration camp personnel until replaced by the doubled swastika patch below).  This is a later war style manufactured in machine woven silver grey thread over a black wool attached to a buckram backing.

SS Concentration Camp Guard Collar Tab

Insignia created specifically by Heinrich Himmler for wear by concentration camp guards. Initially, these were worn by army and Luftwaffe personnel on temporary duty as camp guards. In June of 1944 Himmler ordered that all concentration camp personnel were to wear these tabs instead of the totenkopf collar patches.  Silver grey machine embroidery over a buckram backing.

SS Germanische Sleeve Diamond

SS sleeve diamond as worn by the SS Germanic legions in the Netherlands, Belgium and Norway.  Runics are hand embroidered in aluminum wire threads over a black wool base and edge piped in alternating black and silver cord indicative of EM/NCO rank.  Some minor corrosion to the aluminum thread on the ruins, but otherwise in very good condition.

A matching pair of unit cyphers for enlisted personnel in the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler.  Cyphers are the second version, used during the war years of 1939-45 and are embroidered in silver grey thread over black wool.

Kreis level Political Leader matching collar tabs for the rank of a Kreis Hauptabschnittsleiter.  Tabs are backed in brown velvet with white edge piping.  Eagle and oakleaf devices are gold metal and attached by prongs.  One of the tabs has an RZM tag affixed to the reverse.  Excellent condition, appear to be unissued.
