Daily-Wear Neck Ribbon for Knights Cross of the Iron Cross A
shortened section of Knights Cross ribbon which has been converted for daily-wear use on a recipients tunic, via attachment to
the collar underside by button. Standard size 45mm width of black/white/red
ribbon, weft density of 14 threads, black portion with 19 warp threads, 21
count white thread variant. Cut-down length of
ribbon is 19.5cm, ends folded back and hand-sewn down with small button holes machine-sewn at each end for under collar
attachment. The center of the ribbon is pinched/compressed from suspension of
cross during wear. |

Neck Ribbon for Knights Cross of the Iron Cross A
shortened section of Knights Cross ribbon, measuring approximately 44cm with

Knights Cross of the Iron Cross Post-war
produced Knights Cross made by the firm Steinhauer & Lück. A mint condition beautifully made
example of the award, assembled after the war in the early 1950’s as
replacements for recipients who had lost their awards during capture. It is a
Type-B, neusilber core, un-marked with a very crisp
strike and lots of detail. All
the silver frosting and black paint is immaculate. The suspension loop is marked

Spanish Cross in Silver with Swords Early
production Spanish Cross award by the firm of Wilhelm Deumer and marked “835”
silver content on the reverse. Vaulted construction with separately soldered
eagles, C-shaped catch, large block hinge and tapered pin. This badge is a nice, worn example
with very nice, even patina to the silver. The owners name appears to be
crudely scratched into the reverse above and below the silver content

produced badge with an eagle made of brass and featuring a heavy
nickel-silver wreath. The eagle has typical stepped edge flaw on the
swastika, on the reverse the attachment rivets have the thin line across top.
Tube hinge and twisted brass wire catch, the Juncker manufacturer mark
stamped above swastika. The name
“Biast” has been etched into the back of the eagle. The case is that of the blue
leatherette “dotted” pattern #1 with Fraktur Script, with a felt
covered tray insert and rayon inside lining. |

insignia and awards to a Luftwaffe Flak crewmember who was killed in action
by a direct hit during the Ardennes offensive. The grouping is framed in a shadowbox
and includes his metal visor insignia, Flak personnel trade badge, the medal
and ribbon bar for a War Merit Cross 2nd class with swords, Flak
Artillery war badge, SA badge and two period photos of the soldier in
uniform. There’s a strip of
paper floating loose in the display with the name “Unteroffizier

PKZ number “43” is stamped in incuse relief on the outside of the

War Merit Cross 1st Class Another
example of the very high-quality badges produced by the manufacturer Julius Bauer
& Söhne,
made of tombak with a beautiful, frosted silver finish and with the flat
style of wreath leaves typically encountered from this maker. The reverse
mounting hardware consists of block/barrel hinge, C-shaped rounded wire catch and flat, wide pin unique to Bauer crosses. One interesting thing about this cross
is that the pin was attached incorrectly, as the ribbons on the oakleaf
wreath are at the sides instead of top and bottom (unless this was made to be
worn as a horizontal catch, but more likely a mistake). |

helmet edges, which provide a nice patina and reveals some of the stamping

German Cross in Gold, Cased A very nice condition example of
the “dotted” Zimmerman DKiG, this one
with the flaw in the starburst at the 11 o’clock position. Enameling to
the swastika is solid black with no scratches or damage, gold wreath retains
a bright gilted finish and has the typical
“dotted” date numeral at the bottom. Reverse is secured by four rivets with
a pin with a full “20” stamping (many of these have the numeral
cut in half). Includes the issue case, which is also in excellent condition,
though the interior lid has an impression from the center of the cross with
