insignia shoulder straps for a Oberfeldwebel of
Panzer forces. Straps are the typical
dark bottle green badge cloth backing, trimmed in silver tresse
of the diamond pattern (Heer) with two aluminum
rank pips on each. Edge piping is
pink cotton. The backing of the
straps is in field grey wool and attachment tongues have cotton twill
reinforcement backing. |

Heer Foreign Volunteers Arm Shield,
“Turkistan” A very interesting foreign
volunteers army shield for use by “Turkistan” forces. This shield has a field grey wool
backing cloth which has “TURKISTAN” machine-embroidered in thick
blue lettering across the top. Hand-sewn to the backing is a blue and red
cotton shield with a gold thread embroidered bow and arrow. The reverse is backed with a cream colored heavy cotton weave reinforcement. |

Heer Chaplain’s Armband? A white silk armband with a
ringed cross in the center of a purple shield, which the consignor reports as
possible Chaplain use in the Heer. I’ve never seen one of these
before, so exact use is unknown.

Shoulder straps A pair of Luftwaffe pattern shoulderstraps for the rank of Unterfeldwebel,
which are piped in Pink branch color.
Straps are blue gray wool with subdued tresse
in the unique Luftwaffe pattern.
Pink piping was introduced in 1943 for Hermann Goring division Panzer
Regiments, Reconn Battalions, Tank Destroyer
Battalions and Division Headquarters. (Note: there has also been some
discussion of these proving the existence of Engineering NCO ranks, but

SS “Oberbayern” Cufftitle Black cloth band with top and bottom
edges of 7-strand aluminum borders, at the center on the obverse side is a
hand-embroidered death’s head as introduced for the Oberbaryen
regiment in 1938. The cufftitle has been removed from a tunic and was cut as
seen in the frayed edges. On the
inside of the cuff there is an overlap where the edges were originally joined
and sewn to the tunic sleeve.
Under the overlap is an “F” quality RZM tag. |

SS Officer Sleeve Eagle – MINT!! An absolutely mint condition SS officer
sleeve eagle in the original rice paper envelope as found in a tailor
shop. This eagle is part of a
recent tailor shop horde of high ranks and officer insignia. Everything found was perfectly
preserved in these glassine envelopes and look as new as the day they were
embroidered. You will not find
another piece more perfect than this one. Comes with the paper envelope and
protective paper cover for over the embroidery. No RZM tag (some had tags, some did
not). |

SS Concentration Insignia created specifically by Heinrich
Himmler for wear by concentration camp guards. Initially, these were worn by
army and Luftwaffe personnel on temporary duty as camp guards. In June of
1944 Himmler ordered that all concentration camp personnel were to wear these

SA/SS Tradition Insignia for the DLV Gold bullion hand embroidered
sleeve insignia for an officer in the DLV (Deutscher
Luftsportverband, which was the early makings of
the Luftwaffe) who had been a former member of the SA or SS. This insignia was introduced in 1934
and come in two versions; gold and silver, each indicating a different year
of entry. This gold embroidered
patch is tightly woven with golden bullion, gold wire and yarn highlights to
a blue gray badge cloth. There is
