Heer Panzer Officer Crusher Cap

Field grey, soft doeskin wool cap body, with a swept back peak typical of crush caps, piped in pink for Panzer troops around the crown and dark-green cap band. Insignia consists of a machine-woven cap eagle and wreath/cockade, both hand-sewn to the cap. The visor is black vulkan-fibre with a smooth underside. The interior is lined in a dark-grey rayon, the celluloid sweatshield is intact with the cap manufacturer identification impressed in the celluloid. The sweatband is dark-grey ersatz leather, which has hardened with age and is very stiff and brittle (as a result, no photos underneath) and has a silk bowtie at the rear.  There is some damage to the wool at the front panel area, which can be clearly seen in the photos.

Heer Panzer Officer Crusher Cap

Field grey, soft doeskin wool cap body, with a swept back, soft peak, piped in pink for Panzer troops around the crown and dark-green cap band. Insignia consists of a machine-woven cap eagle and wreath/cockade, both hand-sewn to the cap. The visor is black leather with a textured, green-ribbed underside. The interior is lined in a light-tan cotton, the celluloid sweatshield has been removed. The sweatband is a brown, pliable, soft leather which has come loose at one side.  There is some burn damage to the front of the cap and the eagle, as well as a few small abrasions across the top of the cap.  This appears to be a field-worn cap with the resulting character.

Field grey, soft doeskin wool cap body, with a tall, swept back peak, piped in black for Pioneer troops around the crown and dark-green cap band. Matte silver-aluminum chin cords attached to two pebbled buttons, with a black Vulkan-fibre visor with a tan, checkered underside.  Insignia consists of a metal cap eagle and hand-embroidered silver-aluminum wreath with metal cockade. The interior is lined in a light-gold rayon, the celluloid sweatshield is intact and has the manufacturer name impressed in red lettering. The sweatband is tan, ersatz leather that is hard and brittle (as a result, no photos underneath). There are a few small holes and abrasions on the top of the cap, but otherwise is very nice for display.

Heer Field Police Officer Visor Cap

Field grey, soft doeskin wool cap body, with a tall, swept back peak, piped in red-orange for Military Field Police troops around the crown and dark-green cap band. Silver-aluminum chin cords attached to two silver pebbled buttons, with a black Vulkan-fibre visor with a tan, checkered underside.  Insignia consists of a metal cap eagle and wreath with metal cockade and red cloth insert. The interior is lined in a light-gold rayon, the celluloid sweatshield is intact and has the manufacturer name impressed in silver lettering. The sweatband is soft, pliable brown leather, with some cracking at the forehead and a period hand-sewn repair along the rear edge.  Rare branch piping, in very good condition commensurate with field-wear.

The interior is lined in a orange/brown cotton/rayon blend, the celluloid sweatshield is intact and unmarked. The sweatband is soft, pliable tan leather and secured at the rear with a silver stud. Very good to excellent condition with no damage to the exterior and some minor soiling to the lining.

Heer Medical Officer Visor Cap

Field grey, soft doeskin wool cap body, with a low peak, piped in blue for Medical troops around the crown and dark-green cap band. Silver-aluminum chin cords attached to two silver pebbled buttons, with a black Vulkan-fibre visor with a tan, checkered underside.  Insignia consists of a hand-embroidered silver-aluminum eagle and hand-embroidered silver-aluminum wreath with metal cockade and red insert, both hand-sewn. The interior is lined in a light-gold rayon, the celluloid sweatshield is intact and has the manufacturer name impressed. The sweatband is a brown, pliable soft leather, there is evidence that the officer’s metal initials were removed from the band.  The exterior has a few small moth nips to the piping and wool body.

The sweatband is grey, soft pliable leather, showing a significant amount of wear around the circumference, with cracking to the leather and the stitching coming apart at various points.

Heer Infantry Officer Visor Cap

Field grey, tricot wool cap body, with a tall, peak, piped in white for Infantry troops around the crown and dark-green cap band. Matte silver-aluminum chin cords attached to two silver pebbled buttons, with a black Vulkan-fibre visor with a brown, checkered underside.  Insignia consists of a metal cap eagle and wreath with metal cockade and red insert. The interior is lined in a light-gold woven blend, the celluloid sweatshield is partially intact and has the size “52” stamped underneath. The sweatband is brown, pliable leather and has the date of manufacture “1937” and manufacturer name stamped underneath. There is one moth nip at the front peak of the cap and two holes on the top. The sweatband shows quite a bit of wear and is cracked at the rear.

Aluminum cap eagle, hand-embroidered wreath with metal cockade, the black leather visor has a tan, checkered underside.  The interior lining is a gold rayon, the celluloid shield is intact with an initialed paper owners tag underneath. It has a soft, tan leather sweatband, with stitching is coming loose at the forehead area.  Overall a very solid cap with some minor imperfections.

Heer Panzer NCO Visor Cap

Field grey, soft wool tricot cap body, with a very nice crush shape, piped in pink for Panzer troops around the crown and cap band. Black leather chinstrap with two front buckles. A few small abrasions and snags to top panel. The cap eagle and wreath/cockade are aluminum, the black leather visor has a brown, checkered underside.  The interior lining is orange oilcloth and size stamped “57 1/2”, a soft, tan leather sweatband secured at the rear with a single stitch.  The underside of the sweatband is maker, unit and date marked (see photos).  Nice cap, with a great “crush” appearance.

Heer Cavalry Crusher Visor Cap

Field grey, soft wool tricot cap body, with a very nice saddle shape, piped in golden-yellow around the crown and cap band.  A very clean exterior with no damage, soiling or snags. The cap eagle and wreath are applied with zig-zag stitching, the black leather visor is nice and pliable.  The interior lining is a golden-colored, ribbed rayon with no maker markings or size stamps and a soft, tan leather sweatband secured at the rear with a round, silver tack.  A great looking crusher, in excellent condition that would be a perfect addition to a nice Cav officer’s tunic.

Heer Sonderfuhrer Crusher Visor Cap

Field grey, wool tricot cap body, piped in blue-grey around the crown and blue-grey cap band.  The exterior cap body exhibits no damage, soiling or snags, though the piping does have minor fraying and repairs. The cap eagle and wreath are both machine-applied, the black leather visor is nice and pliable.  The interior lining is a gold rayon with an intact celluloid sweatshield that has a maker mark in gold stamping. The sweatband is a brown ersatz leather, which is stiff and brittle from age.  Sonderfuhrer crushers are rarely encountered.

Heer Medical NCO Visor Cap

Cornflower blue piped in a soft wool tricot fabric, with a nice saddle shape.  Clean exterior with no damage or flaws. Metal eagle and wreath, black leather chinstrap and buckle.  The interior is lined in a brown cotton fabric, no maker markings but it does have a size stamp “54 ½” on the fabric beneath the sweatshield (which has some stitching loose at the top).  Underneath the sweatband there are multiple stamps and unit identification.  Nice, clean hat in great condition.

Heer Panzergrenadier Officer Visor Cap

Beautiful saddle shaped visor cap piped in lime green for an officer serving in the Panzergrenadiers.  Cap body is made from a high quality, soft twill tricot wool and does not have any mothing, holes or abrasions.  Matching bright aluminum national eagle emblem and wreath/cockade decorate the cap along with silver bullion chincords.  Visor is vulkanfibre and free of damage.  The interior sweatband has been repaired with a patch of leather at the rear of the cap and the sweatshield has worn away.

Heer Infantry Crusher Cap

High peaked crusher cap piped in white for the infantry. Cap body is made from a thick, twill wool and is in good condition with a couple of small holes and abrasions to the top rear of the cap.  Bullion insignia matches, with highlight threads of the same color.  Visor is soft, pliable leather in very good condition.  Interior is unmarked, but in very good condition except for the sweatshield which is cracked and has missing pieces.

Heer Infantry Officer’s Dutch-made, Sun Bleached Tropic Used Visor Cap

Heer Infantry officers tricot visor, originally field grey but heavily sun bleached from heavy light exposure, indicating possible tropical service. This cap was made in Holland and discoloration and fading of the cap bodies on these hats is typical due to the lower quality cloth utilized in the construction. Insignia consists of bullion eagle and wreath/cockade with aluminum chincord and pebbled buttons.  Interior is lined in brown artificial silk and shows a moderate amount of wear and soiling from use.  Sweatshield is intact, but damaged. Exterior shows a fair amount of wear and soiling.  The original field gray color is visible in areas not directly exposed to the sun (under the folds towards the side and back).

Heer Mountain Troops Officer’s Visor Cap

Light Green piped Heer officers visor for an officer serving in the Jager/Gebirgsjager troops.  Cap body is a gray, doeskin wool and clean except for a very minor 15mm abrasion on the top, exposing the base cloth weave.  Metal insignia and bullion chincords.  Interior is very clean and exhibits no issues.  Private purchase cap.

Heer Signals Officer’s Visor Cap

Lemon yellow piped visor for an officer in the Signals Troops.  Private purchase cap of very good quality and a nice, high peak.  Cap body is made of tricot and has one small snag at the back of the top and the underside of the back.  Aluminum insignia and silver chincord.  Interior is very good to excellent with soiling around front of sweatband.  Sweatshield is 100% intact with no cracks or breaks.

Heer Engineers/Pioneers Officer’s Visor Cap

Black piped visor for an officer in Engineers.  This cap is made by the L. R. Feumer firm of Mannheim.  Cap body is a fine, doeskin wool, extremely clean showing no issues.  Metal insignia and aluminum chincord, very clean visor.  Interior shows typical soiling and wear from use.  Sweatshield is intact, but logo is barely visible.  There is one crack to the sweatband leather, right next to where the owner had his initials affixed, “GS”.  Underside of visor shows wear pattern from thumb.

Heer Artillery Officer’s Visor Cap

Minty Red piped visor for an officer in the Heer artillery.  Private purchase cap marked “Die Qualitatsmutze” in a fine, high grade doeskin wool.  Cap body and band are perfect with no issues.  Visor has just the slightest crazing, but otherwise also near perfect.  Interior of cap has sweatshield intact and owners name inserted under the shield.  The lining has same staining across the rayon top.  Sweatband shows some very minor wear and soiling, but no damage or issues.  Size marked “54”.

Allgemeine SS NCO Visor Cap, Named

This is a nice example of an Allgemeine NCO visor, in superb condition, and named. The cap body is made of very fine, black tricot wool with a tall peak, the cap band also of tricot wool with the weave running in the opposite direction, piped in white around the top and band. The chinstrap is black leather with a buckle at the center and adjustment buckles at each side, retained by black painted buttons.  The later pattern silver finish insignia appears to be a Deschler skull and Wagner eagle and looks to be original to the hat, as there is no evidence of previous insignia attachment to the lining. Nice, clean black lacquered visor with an orange, checkered underside with the proper SS/RZM black stamp. The inside top is orange oil cloth, the sides lined in a lighter brown cloth, the celluloid shield is intact with no cracks or breaks. Under the shield are gold foil SS runes, above that the size stamp “58”, and inserted in the shield pocket is a handwritten owner name tag “Wilh. Winde SS Sturm 5/10 Ludwigshafenl Rh”. The sweatband is light-brown leather with an issue stamp on the underside. There is a black oil cloth SS/RZM tag underneath with the manufacturer stamp “81”.

Waffen SS Officer Visor Cap

A very nice WSS officer visor with a swept back peak, giving it a bit of a crushed look. The body is constructed of a fine field-gray wool, piped in white with a black velvet cap band and in very good condition with the only exception being a small hole at the rear of the cap underneath the fold, which isn’t visible on display. The black lacquered visor has an orange, checkered underside, the silver-aluminum chincords fit nicely. The metal eagle and skull insignia show consistent wear and age to the silver frosting. The lining is a gold-bronze artificial silk with an intact sweatshield, no maker markings.  The light brown sweatband is ventilated at the forehead and secured by a metal button at the rear, with remnants of a paper tag on the underside. Approximate size 56cm.

Allgemeine SS Officer Visor Cap

An excellent, clean example of a Allg.SS officer visor. The body is constructed of a fine black wool, piped in white with a black velvet cap band and in excellent condition with no holes or moth damage. The black lacquered visor has an orange, checkered underside with the typical black SS/RZM stamp, the silver-aluminum chincords fit nice and tight. The 2nd pattern metal eagle and skull insignia show consistent wear and age to the silver frosting, though may be replacements as holes indicate previous insignia. The lining is a black artificial silk with an intact sweatshield and a paper size tag of “57 ½” inserted.  The brown leather sweatband is ventilated at the forehead and secured by a white stitch at the rear.  There is a tear to the sweatband on one side.  Underneath the sweatband is a white paper SS/RZM tag with the manufacturer number “143”, for August Müeller.  Approximate size 56cm.

Waffen SS EM/NCO Visor Cap

Nice condition NCO visor that comes with pictures of the U.S. vet who captured it, wearing the hat!  Field-grey wool cap body, piped in white cotton.  Matching silver washed eagle and skull affixed to front, black leather chin strap with black painted buttons at each side.  Gold artificial silk lining, celluloid sweatshield intact.  Soft, pliable sweatband marked to “Clemens Wagner” with small section repaired (also stamped to Clemens Wagner) with size stamp “57”.  Expertly pleated lining. Includes two photos of the U.S. military veteran who brought back the hat, wearing it!  Condition is excellent.

Allgemeine SS Officer Visor Cap

Black, high-quality tricot wool cap body piped around the crown and cap band in white cotton. Matching silver washed eagle and skull affixed to front, silver aluminum chincords with silver pebbled buttons at each side.  The interior is lined in a gold artificial silk, with a few areas at the top that have worn through.  Soft, pliable leather sweatband that is stamped “H39” on the reverse and has the owners initials “BH” stitched on the obverse. The remains of a paper tag are present on the edge of the lining near the band attachment. Very nice condition cap with no damage to the exterior.

Allgemeine SS Early NCO Visor Cap

A early style visor cap for an NCO serving in the Allgemeine SS, made from a lightweight black tricot wool, in excellent condition with no damage or mothing and a black leather chinstrap.  The insignia consists of the early first pattern eagle and deaths head as well as a non-regulation metal edelweiss attached to the left cap band towards the rear of the hat.  The interior lining is the typical rust brown textured muslim top with gold foil SS runes, brown/orange rayon pleated side lining and a soft tan leather sweatband.  Cap is RZM tagged and marked on the underside of the visor.

Blue-grey, tricot wool cap body, piped in brown for Signals troops around the crown and black mohair cap band. Black leather chinstrap with adjustable buckles attached to two black finish buttons.  Black Vulkan-fibre visor, leather stitched around the brim with a green, checkered underside.  Insignia consists of a metal cap eagle and wreath. The interior is lined in an orange-brown oilcloth, the celluloid sweatshield is intact and has the size “56 1/2” and maker stamped underneath in silver foil. The sweatband is brown, pliable leather and underneath the band is a white cloth label with the owner’s name printed in black “BEHRENDS”.  Some moth damage to the wool piping, otherwise a very clean hat.

Luftwaffe FJ Unit Marked NCO Visor

Visor cap for other ranks serving in the Luftwaffe, this cap marked for a soldier serving in the Fallschirmjaeger troops.  Cap is made from a soft, high quality blue grey wool (not tricot) and is in excellent condition with no damage or mothing.  Piping is in golden yellow and insignia is the regulation aluminum wreath and eagle.  The visor has some impressions on the surface from the chinstrap.  Interior is near-mint and maker marked to Robert Lubstein, size 57 ½ .  The sweatshield is completely intact.  Underside of the sweatband is stamped “I./Fallsch.-Jager Rgt. 1 4. Komp. I”

Luftwaffe Officers White Top Visor

White summer visor hat for an officer in the Luftwaffe.  Nice, waffle pattern white top with a great crusher appearance and very clean with just a slight bit of the typical yellowish hue these things get over time, but no spots on the top or front.  The white top is a snap-on removable piece (snap in the front).  The bullion early droop-tail cap eagle has been loosely hand-stitched in place (not snap-on).  The interior is in excellent shape though the sweatband stitch has come loose.  The lining is white with ornate white pleating.

Luftwaffe Medical Troops EM/NCO Visor Cap

Visor cap for other ranks serving in the Luftwaffe Medical units.  Cap body is made from a typical tricot blue grey wool and is in near mint condition.  Visor surface is in excellent condition, underside has a small abrasion and chip to green paint.  Interior is in very good to excellent condition though most of the sweatshield is gone.  Cap lining is maker marked under sweatshield area as well as size stamped “57”.

Luftwaffe Officers Erel “Privat” Visor Cap

Well worn and service used Luftwaffe officers visor cap by Erel.  Cap body is constructed in a very fine quality tricot blue-gray wool and is in very good condition with a nice saddle shape.  There is some wear to the bullion piping with the reed rod protruding through the mesh in several areas. The bullion insignia shows some wear and corrosion and is consistent with other wear. The interior shows a considerable amount of wear and the mint green lining typical of the “Privat” series has faded to a brownish hue (though still green in the hidden areas).  The sweatshield is long ago broken away, but the sweatband is intact.  Nice, salty visor with a great shape.

Kreigsmarine Officer Visor Cap

Beautifully preserved, dark blue visor cap for wear by staff officers and Leutnant zur See through Kapitanleutnant ranks. Standard cap body of dark blue/black high quality wool cloth, with cloth covered bill and mohair cap band with leather chinstrap.  Visor is decorated with a 7mm scallopped gold border.  Cap band has a celleon embroidered wreath and a celleon eagle, both hand-applied.  The interior lining and sweatband are both marked to “Erel”.

“Aviso Grille” Crew Cap

Sailor’s cap for crew members of the Aviso Grille, which as many of you know was Hitler’s private yacht, which had a complement (crew) of 248.  Cap is in excellent condition, constructed of dark navy blue wool with a cap band reading “Aviso Grille” and attached tally.  The interior is lined in dark blue cotton fabric with a few tiny holes and maker mark and size stamped.  The sweatband is a nice, pliable leather in very good condition.  The metal eagle device is missing.

Kriegsmarine U-Boat Commander White Top and Blue Top Visor Cap Grouping

A pair of blue and white top visors for the rank of Korvettenkapitan.  The caps are a grouping to a single officer who has some U-Boat history, though there is no paper provenance. The white top is an Erel, very clean top and interior with intact sweatshield. The blue visor has no visible maker marking and shows a moderate amount of wear.

Kriegsmarine Officers White Top “Crusher” Visor Cap

Nicely aged and shaped white top visor for wear by staff officers and Korvettenkapitan through Kommodore officers.  Standard cap body of dark blue/black mohair cap band with a unique “crusher” cloth visor.  Visor is decorated with an 18mm row of gold embroidered oakleaves, signifying the rank class.  Cap band has gold celleon embroidered wreath and white top has a gilt metal eagle attached.  White top has some even staining across the top, but fairly clean on the front crown and undersides, which is typical of age on these white caps.  This cap is a Kreigsmarine crusher and never had a chinstrap.

Blue, soft doeskin cap body, piped in magenta for Fire Police around the crown and black velvet cap band. Teno Officer’s Visor Cap

A rarely encountered Teno officers visor cap in a gray color rather than the typical black or feldgrau.

Heer Artillery Officer’s Crusher Cap

A true crusher cap for an officer serving in the German Artillery.  The cap base is made from a high quality, lightweight tricot wool in a field-grey color, with a very nice saddle shape and bent back, ‘crushed’ high peak, with a bright red piping around the cap crown and cap band.  Insignia is the typical crusher style machine-woven metallic thread wreath/cockade and a silver wire machine woven officers eagle at the crown.  Pliable leather crusher visor.  Sweatband and liner is marked to “Erel”.  Some moisture staining to lining, but otherwise extremely clean.

Heer Medical Officer’s Visor Cap

Absolutely beautiful, stone-mint Heer Medical officer visor by Erel.  Fine, field gray whipcord cap body piped in dark blue for Medical service in mint condition with no flaws. Insignia consists of aluminum eagle, wreath and cockade with silver aluminum bullion chincords.  Visor surface and underside are perfect.  The interior is mint green lined with a perfect sweatshield and marked “Extra”.  The Erel logo is in silver foil and also stamped into the sweatband, which is equally flawless.  Cap is pencil size marked “VIII” indicating a size 58.  If you like mint headgear, this is it!

Luftwaffe Penal Division NCO Visor

Extremely rare visor cap for personnel assigned to the Penal units of the Luftwaffe.  Base cap is a coarse blue-grey wool which is piped around the crown and cap band in the same blue-grey cloth color, indicating Penal service.  Condition is very good to excellent with two tiny holes, one in the front panel to the right of the eagle and the other by the cap band piping.  Cap interior is in very good condition as well with few issues.  The underside of the sweatband is unit marked and one section has been cut-out (perhaps a name?).  It is size stamped “57”.  Great condition and very, very rare!

Kreigsmarine Officer White Top/Blue Top Visor Cap

Absolutely mint condition removable white top officer visor for the ranks of Korvettenkapitan through Kommodore (as well as Stabsoffiziere and Musikinspizienten). Visor has a black velvet obverse with a single row of gold wire hand-embroidered oakleaves along the edge and a gold bullion hand-embroidered wreath/cockade sewn to the black cap band. A gold metal eagle and gold buttons complete the insignia. The white top is ribbed cotton and flawless.  The interior of the cap is also mint and lined in a cream yellow ribbed rayon.  Comes with a mint blue top and a locking carrying case.

Kriegsmarine Tropical Officers Visor Cap

Very rarely encountered tropical visor cap for an officer in the Kriegsmarine.  Cap is constructed of the highest quality in a khaki ribbed cotton material with a cloth billed visor.  Insignia is celleon hand embroidered over a khaki backing and gold colored celleon chincords affixed with a gold KM button at each end.  Interior of cap is maker marked and has owners name in perforated letters on the sweatband.  Interior shows a moderate amount of wear but has no major issues.  Exterior is very clean.  This cap is featured in several reference books.

Fire Polizei Officer Visor

A truly exceptional example of a Feuerschutzpolizei officer visor. The exterior of this cap is pristine and constructed of a very high quality dark blue wool, piped in the carmine red for this branch of service.  A silver frosted eagle is attached to the front along with a metal cockade.  The interior is equally of exceptional condition and is maker-marked to “Erel” and is a “Privat” example, the highest quality Erel.  The protective paper wadding is still tucked up into the interior of the hat. The only flaw is some residue on the underside of the visor from an adhesive sticker placed there at some time.

Schutzpolizei Officer White Top Visor Cap

Extremely clean white top officers visor cap, piped in green for the Schutzpolizei.  Cap body is constructed of a ribbed cotton material and still retains a nice, white color with no damage or stains.  Insignia consists of a very high quality two-piece silver eagle/wreath and a metal cockade and aluminum chin cords.  The interior is in absolute mint condition with a light yellow rayon lining in a mixture of ribbed and soft rayon with one of the cleanest sweatshields I’ve ever encountered.  Great hat!

Schutzpolizei NCO White Top Visor Cap

This cap body is even nicer than the officers listed above! Another pristine white top with absolutely no staining, age coloring or damage and with a nicely shaped peak.  The cap band is piped in green. The eagle on this one is a single piece accompanied by the typical cockade and a leather NCO chinstrap.  The interior of the cap is also in exquisite form with no issues.  It’s constructed of a blueish-green ribbed rayon with a soft brown sweatband and clean sweatshield.  You won’t find many white tops in this condition.

NSDAP Orts Level Visor Cap

Visor cap for wear by political officials of the NSDAP serving at the Ortsgruppe level, as indicated by the light blue cap piping.  Cap body is a typical fine brown twill tricot wool with a dark brown velvet cap band, very clean with just light soiling and no damage.  The interior is lined in a brown rayon material and profusely stamped, with a size label of “59” inserted in the sweatshield. There is an RZM tag underneath the ersatz sweatband which is fully intact but very brittle.

Brown twill wool cloth visored cap, piped in yellow for other ranks of Hitler Youth serving in the Oberbann 2 unit.  Cap is in excellent condition with just a couple of small abrasions to the cap body and a moth nip to the piping.  The leather chinstrap is still in very good condition with no cracking.  The interior top is the typical orange and brown oilcloth and shows just very light wear to the sweatband (which is marked with the owners initials).  Standard RZM tag is underneath the band.

Hitler Youth Ordensburg Visor Cap

Hitler Youth Officer’s visor cap serving in the Ordensburg (Order Castles) units, with bright pink piping. The cap is adorned with a silver metal national emblem (which was replaced) and a standard enameled HJ triangle on the black velvet cap band. An almost stonemint Heer Infantry officers visor cap by the small cap-maker “Beschorner”.  The cap is a very soft, extremely high quality doeskin wool in mint condition.  Insignia consists of an aluminum eagle and hand embroidered bullion wreath with metal cockade and aluminum officers chincord and pebbled buttons. Another great Panzer officer’s visor, this one by the well known maker “Clemens Wagner”. The cap body is a very fine tricot wool and is in excellent condition with absolutely no flaws.  In fact the entire exterior is mint. Insignia consists of an aluminum eagle and wreath with metal cockade and silver aluminum bullion chincords.  I would also rate the interior very high, at a near-mint as there is some very light soiling to the sweatband and you can see a slight shadow on the lining where the owners name tag used to sit.  Sweatshield is 100%.

Heer Field Police Crusher Cap

This is something you don’t see too often…an orange piped Heer crusher visor for the Field Police units.  Cap body is a coarser grade of doeskin wool but is very clean with no issues.  The cap band has a couple of holes in the wool toward the back of the cap, as well as for chincord buttons on the side.  The leather visor has some very nice crazing to it.  Insignia is non-standard for a crusher and consists of hand embroidered bullion eagle, wreath and cockade.  The interior is in excellent condition with some slight discoloration to the lining and the sweatshield missing but maker marked on the lining.

Another minty cap, this one a light bluegray piped visor for an officer serving in the Transport/Supply branch of service.  The cap body is a medium grade doeskin and is in perfect condition with no flaws. A well worn but not abused officers cap piped in white for Infantry.  Body of cap has even wear to the wool nap but no holes or mothing.  Top of hat has some soiling in the center.  Insignia is all aluminum with silver aluminum chincords.  Interior is maker marked to Schellenberg and shows considerable soiling from wear.  Sweatshield is 98% intact.  Sweatband shows evidence of period repairs but is otherwise intact.  A very nice field worn cap which would look great with a salty Infantry officers tunic.

Heer Infantry Officer’s Visor Cap

A very nice condition private purchased officer visor piped in white for the Infantry.  The cap body is a fine, doeskin wool, very clean with no issues except for a tiny hole at the back underside which cannot be seen unless you lift the underside up.  Cap is maker marked to Arno Rudorf and has the owners name tag inserted into the sweatshield, which is 99% intact. The lining is a golden artificial silk, lightly soiled. The sweatband is gepruft and unit stamped underneath and is moderately soiled but otherwise in very good condition.

Heer Panzer Grenadier Officer’s Visor Cap

Grass green piped visor for an officer in the Panzer Grenadier/Armored Artillery units.  This cap is made by the Otto Drittman of Dresden and exhibits the “Marke Odd” golden globe underneath an intact sweatshield.  Bullion cap eagle & wreath, metal cockade and aluminum chincord.  Cap body has a couple of small snags and some minor mothing to cap band, but nothing visually distracting..  Visor and interior of cap is excellent to near mint condition.

Heer Propoganda Troops Officer’s Visor Cap

The extremely rare, Gray piped visor for an officer serving in the Propoganda Troops.  This cap is marked “Beste Qualitat” with the initials “G” and “B”, which is an unknown maker.  Exterior of cap has one tiny hole on the cap top and some light soiling to the top as well, otherwise it is very clean with no issues.  The interior is also very clean showing moderate wear.  The sweatshield is cracked and brittle in various places.

Heer Medical Service & Personnel Officer’s Visor Cap

Dark blue piped visor for an officer in the Medical service.  Private purchase cap made from very fine tricot and in excellent condition with no issues.  Aluminum chincord, bullion wreath , metal cockade and cap eagle.  Interior of cap is very clean showing only light wear.  Cap owner inscribed his name in pencil on both the visor underside and the sweatband (appears to be “Harmel”).

Heer Cavalry Officer’s Visor Cap

Golden yellow piped visor for an officer in the Heer cavalry.  Nicely peaked cap marked to the maker “Wegener” on both the top lining as well as the sweatband.  Cap body and band are in excellent condition showing no issues.  Aluminum insignia is very clean and minty.  Interior of cap has slight to moderate wear but no damage.  Cellluloid sweat shield is intact, but cracked at all four edges.

A minty black SS nco’s visor cap, piped in white.  Cap body is a very high quality tricot fine ribbed wool and is in mint condition. Cap band, visor and chinstrap are all in very good to excellent condition with visor showing minor wear around front edge. Metal eagle and skull insignia show even age and tone with beautiful silver highlights to the eagle. The interior is in mint condition and has the gold foil SS runes underneath the sweatshield.  The RZM tag is present underneath the sweatband but has come loose.

Mint condition peaked Luftwaffe officers visor cap by Carl Halfar.  Cap body is constructed in a very fine quality tricot blue-gray wool in absolutely pristine condition.  The hat is decorated with aluminum chincords, bullion hand embroidered cap eagle and wreath/cockade, all of which are in mint condition. Visor is clean with no wear.  Interior is immaculate and carries the “Ce-Ha Prima” mark from the Carl Halfar cap making firm, along with the Luftwaffe VA distribution markings.  The original tissue paper is still inserted underneath the sweatband.  Mint!!!

Near-mint, nicely crush shaped Luftwaffe officers visor cap by Erel.  Cap body is constructed in a very fine quality tricot blue-gray wool in near-mint condition with no flaws.  The hat is piped in a nicely age toned silver bullion, decorated with aluminum/silver chincords, bullion hand embroidered cap eagle and wreath/cockade, all of which are in excellent condition showing just the slightest wear and age. White summer visor hat for an officer in the Luftwaffe.  Cap body is white waffle pattern cotton and shows some age and minor staining from use, but has a very nice, crushed shape.  It is badged with a bullion eagle, affixed to the crown via prongs through stitched loops.  The wreath is also embroidered bullion and the chincord is aluminum.  All insignia is evenly matched in age and toning.  The cap interior is maker marked to “Erel” on the sweatband and shows some minor age a leather cracking.  Nice looking officer cap.

Top of the line, high quality, Luftwaffe officers visor cap manufactured be the well respected cap manufacturer Erel.  Cap body is a soft, very light tricot in blue gray with no flaws and an absolutely beautiful high peak and shape.  All piping, insignia and chin cording is also in excellent shape.  Interior of the cap is the highly desirable mint green of the Erel “Privat”, which is the signature of their highest quality cap.  Sweatshield is still intact, lining is very clean and has all the proper markings.

Kriegsmarine U-Boat Commander White Top and Blue Top Visor Cap Grouping

A pair of blue and white top visors for the rank of Korvettenkapitan.  The caps are a grouping to a single officer who has some U-Boat history, though there is no paper provenance. The white top is an Erel, very clean top and interior with intact sweatshield. The blue visor has no visible maker marking and shows a moderate amount of wear.

Blue top visor for wear by NCO’s and officer candidates.  Standard cap body of dark blue/black cloth bill and mohair cap band with leather chinstrap.  Visor is a soft, pliable crusher type.  Cap band has gold celleon embroidered wreath and blue top has a gold celleon embroidered eagle attached.  Interior is unmarked and has a light brown champagne colored artificial silk lining and shows moderate soiling.  Chin strap is non-regulation and sweatband has been reattached.

Very fine quality olive colored wool visor, piped in white and with white cap band indicating motorized road traffic police.  Cap is decorated with Polizei gold eagle, cockade roundel and gold pebbled chinstrap buttons.  Chinstrap is black leather for enlisted/nco ranks.  Cap body and interior are extremely clean and in near mint condition. Brown olive visors were in use by early units that were transferred over from the FJK.

Polizei Officers Visor Cap

A very nice original example of a Genderarmerie officers visor for the German Police.  Cap body is in very good condition and has a beautiful saddle shape.  Interior and sweatband show age, with some mothing to the lining and around the edge, and some cracking of the leather sweatband.
